However, that is the only thing that is certain at this point.
I am skeptical of an economic turn around, my city was ranked as having one of the lowest urban economies in the country a year ago and sits less than 70 miles from the Mexican Border.
As I am writing this post, the stock market is in a state of flux- the Dow is down 290, the Japanese Market tumbled overnight and the Mexican Peso reached it's lowest ranking vs. the dollar in a century. I actually envision the opposite happening- an economic upheaval, just short of a total collapse. This is one of the major reason why I began building a food reserve, preserving seeds from my garden and encouraging friends to do the same.
I also do not feel that President Elect Trump nor his Democratic rival have a solid plan to heal our country and bring unity between races, religions or socio-economic groups. Though the President elect seems to be offering and olive branch or maybe it is just a well constructed sound bite.
I hope to be proven wrong on all accounts. I do like the fact that President Elect Trump is a bit of a maverick, that because he is a businessman that he can find a way to turn the economy around and that he will seek alternatives to military use across the globe. I also like the fact that he is not owing to large corporations for his election win. However, until I am proven wrong remember the 6 P's: Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. The next day or so I will focus the posts and shares on being prepared.
Let us all pray and be hopeful for a bright future for us, our families, our friends and our neighbors. Let us continue our paths towards self sufficiency and proceed with trepidation!!
Thanks for dropping by and reading this post.
