Hello and thanks for dropping by. I had hoped to post this on Friday but I had the bright idea to try out a new photo/video editing program and it was cumbersome and complicated. Yes, it had a lot more features and capabilities than the software I am currently using. In the end, I went back to using the one I am most comfortable with and that fills my basic needs. Sometimes the old saying is right, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Rather than write about the projects we have going on, I figured I'd let the pictures tell the story.

On the home front:
For those of you who saw the Facebook post, my thumb is healing nicely! I still have the full range of motion and there is no pain or ache. In case you missed that post, my roomie Courtney, who has been involved with all the diy projects here, decided to help me build the platform for the rain barrels and chicken water nipple project. Well, we had a bit of a mishap. I thought my hands were far enough out of the way and when she was drilling, the drill slipped of the screwhead and through my thumb. I cleaned and closed the wound myself.
Also, we have been going through some minor drama. Courtney has had to evict one of our roomies because of falling behind on his rent, not regularly going to work for the last couple of months ( as in working 4 days all of last month) and because of his erratic behavior. So, she has invited her Mother to come out and stay with us to help keep an eye on things and make sure that our things don't disappear while that roomie packs.
I guess the best way to describe our living situation would be communal. We share resources, tools and items, as well as ideas and helping each other out with all different projects and things. This is not one of those rental situations where her stuff is off limits or nobody can use anyone else's things. So we want to make sure that not of our stuff moves out too.

Project House:
I had been working on the project house twice a week until the burnout started and the chicks arrived last week. Here's what's been going on over there.
